Kavinder kickstarts blacktopping of roads in Gangyal area

JAMMU, Oct 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today started blacktopping of the interior roads of Gangyal in Gandhi Nagar Constituency which would be completed at the cost of Rs 27 lacs. This was long pending demand of the inhabitants of the area.
Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, S.A Wani and other officers of the department were present on the occasion.
Kavinder Gupta said that the execution of works which were stalled due to the election process in the State have been initiated and all the roads pending will be macamadized in phased manner and there will be no compromise with quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution of different works so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future. The life of the roads is also going to increase and it is not going to break down easily, he added. He has promised to make this Constituency a model one and providing good roads is the first step towards that.
Gupta appealed to the residents of the area that if they find anything mischievous in the execution of the work being started today, they can directly come and register complaint with him. Gupta directed the concerned department to complete the work in time and also take care that traffic doesn’t get interrupted due to this work. He also added that work on Apsra Road, Interiors of Kunjwani Area, Bahu Fort area, Nanak Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Trikuta Nagar and Nai Basti shall also be taken up for execution shortly.
Baldev Bilowria, Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Pawan Singh, Harbans Choudhary were prominent among others who were present on the occasion.
He was apprised by the public there about the lack other basic facilities. Gupta took note of all the genuine demands and directed PWD authorities to start the work of Blacktopping of the roads in the adjoining areas at the earliest. He further said it is his duty to fight and work for the public of his constituency.
