JPPF to celebrate Accession Day on Oct 27

JAMMU, Oct 23: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) has decided to celebrate the Accession Day as usual on October 27, at 11 am at Tawi Bridge under the shadow of Maharaja Hari Singh statue.
“The Forum has extended invitation to one and all including its constituents to participate in the celebration of this historic day”, the Forum president, Pavittar Singh Bhardwaj said while addressing the meeting of JPPF held here today.
He said that this day has a different significance in the history of India as the then Maharaja Late Shri Hari Singh had annexed the state of Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and Gilgit with the rest of India for the better future of the state subjects.
The JPPF president said that people in large number should participate in this celebration to send a message across the world that J&K is the integral part of India and people of State are much comfortable in the folds of Indian constitution.
