JAMMU, Dec 14; Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today called on Union Minister, Gajendra Singh Sekhawat and discussed in detail the project to use Chenab river water for overcoming potable water scarcity in Jammu city and its outskirts.
The senior BJP leader urged the Union Minister to pace up the work on the project as Jammu city and its adjoining areas are facing acute shortage of water especially during the Summer months. He said that Chenab river is a perennial water source and therefore its waters can end years’ long dearth of potable water supply in Jammu.
