JAMMU, Aug 12: Newly renovated Shree Krishna Temple in Trikuta Nagar was today inaugurated in a simple programme amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns, performing of havan yagya and all other rituals.
J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul accompanied by former MLC, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, other local BJP leaders participated in all the Vedic rituals performed by Pandit Sham Murari and Pandit Som Nath after which the temple was opened for the general public to offer their prayers.
JMC Councillor, Jyoti Devi, Shub Chander Verma, Rajiv Gupta, Sham Lal, Ashok Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Poonam Gupta, Narinder Mahajan and others were also present on the occasion.
Ashok Kaul, while speaking congratulated the local masses for the inauguration of Shree Krishna temple and said that the event has taken place on the pious occasion of Shree Krishna Janamashtami when the supreme God Shree Vishnu took human form in the incarnation of Shree Krishna to ensure the establishment of good in the society. He said “We must take lessons from the Bhagwat Geeta to make our life disciplined, loving and meaningful for the whole Universe”. He made a mass appeal to all, to pray to God Shree Krishna for ending the woes and the miseries of world.
Vikram Randhawa, while speaking on the occasion, said that the spiritualism makes us strong emotionally and tells us the righteous way to live in the society. He, on the occasion also appealed to all the worshippers to do ensure that they maintain social distancing and take all other precautions as well, while they visit the temple.
