KATHUA, June 15: Kathua police team today seized 10 liters of illicit liquor and destroyed 200 liters of lahan on spot which was in possession of one Kamlesh W/o Darshan R/o Chak Drab Khan Kathua.
Police registered a case FIR No 207/2018 US 48(e) Excise Act and arrested the accused.
Police party also destroyed the makeshift production unit and seized the utensils used for manufacturing of liquor. Further investigation is going on.
The police team which raided the area was led by Inspector Amit Sangra SHO Police Station Kathua.
Meanwhile acting against drug menace, police team of Police Post, Hatli led by SI Verinder Singh today during patrolling duty seized 1.6 kilograms ganja in SICOP lane Industrial Estate Hatli area from Kuldeep Singh, S/o Sudershan Gill R/o Ward No 5 Dhariwal Gurdaspur A/p Ward No. 14 Kathua.
Police registered a case FIR No 208/18 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act and arrested the accused person. Further investigation is going on.
