Mohanu of Delhi lifts 64th Laiter Dangal Title

KATRA, June 15: Wrestler Mohanu of Delhi defeated Wrestler Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhalwal Jammu and lifted 64th Laiter Dangal Title 2018.
The Dangal was organized by Laiter Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at village Laiter in Block Pouni of Reasi District.
Dangal was witnessed by a large gathering from Jammu, Udhampur and Reasi Districts.
The first malli bout Wrestler Mohanu was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 4,100 by Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma, President Laiter Dangal Committee Des Raj and Rajneesh Sharma, while runners-up Wrestler Kulbir Singh got Rs 3,000 by Ex. Sarpanch Rash Paul Sharma, Surinder Kumar and Ex. Sarpanch Kewal Krishan.
51 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal and an amount of Rs 1,05,000 was distributed in the shape of cash prizes among the winners and runners-up Wrestlers.
Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma gave away cash prizes to the winners and runners-up Wrestlers. Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh and Jagdev Singh were the guests of honour.
2nd main bout was won by Manjeet of Sanjay Akhara Delhi who defeated Sanjay of Jammu, while 3rd bout was won by Vikas of Haryana who defeated Billa of Domana Akhara Jammu.
Members and Technical officials who helped for smooth conduct of this Dangal included Des Raj (President), Rash Paul Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Rajneesh Sharma, Kewal Krishan, Mohan Lal, Madan Lal, Balwan Singh, Parma Nand, Balwant Singh, Sham Lal, Devinder Singh and Sanjeev Sharma.
Meanwhile, in women bouts, Manjeet of Rahtok beat Bena of Delhi and Munisha of Rohtak defeated Jyoti of Delhi.
