JAMMU, Nov 18: Senior BJP leader and former president AIKS Moti Kaul today urged the philanthropists to join hands in launching various community service institutions for the welfare of displaced people living in camps and non camps.
While speaking at the inauguration of Kashyap Education Social Economical Charitable Society at Barnai today for displaced people , Mr Kaul said that by looking towards the government for every thing can’t solve the problems which have compounded during last 26 years only.
He said some social organizations and NGOs have performed a remarkable role in serving the community over the years but more needs to be done in this regard.
He said besides setting up community institutions, coaching institutions for those displaced students need to be established who can’t afford the coaching on their own where they can be provided coaching free of cost or on nominal rates. Besides opening of coaching centers for civil service and other competitive examinations is also the need of the hour.
ASKPC State president, Advocate Ravinder Raina who was also present on the occasion urged the community members to come forward and constitute self help groups. BJP displaced Unit president T N Bhat, general secretary Virender Kuchroo, Vijay Kashkari vice president AIKS, Ashok Bhat, A K Pandita Mrs Sunita, Sunil Bhat, Ashok Ji, Vimal Ji and others participated.
They said the objective of the Kashyap Society is to provide quality computer education to dropout students.
