JAMMU, Mar 30: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ has brought to fore the truth behind the misery of Kashmiri Pandits after 31 years as before 2014 no one cared about the plight of this hapless community which became refugee in its own country, a rare example in history.
He said it is only after the release of the movie The Kashmir Files that the case of JKLF aide Bitta Karate is now in court after 31 years despite his statement that he killed around 40 KPs in 1990s. The senior BJP leader was addressing a conclave of intellectuals in Channi Himmat here, today. He said that it is because of The Kashmir Files movie that after 31 years Bitta Karate’s case is in one of the session courts in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, BJP leader also attended the BJP’s “Booth Sampark Abhiyaan” meeting along with Vinay Gupta district president Jammu, Inderjeet Sharma organisation secretary, district Jammu here at Kachi Chawni Office. Kavinder asked party functionaries along with BJP cadres to reach the booth level workers and bolster the party at the ground level. He asked them to devote time in their respective booths and allotted areas to gear up for upcoming Assembly polls. Kavinder underlined that India is a nation of the youth who constitute the major component of the population and the same is the case with the BJP which accords priority to youth. He asserted that BJP sacredly follows the principle of ‘nation first, party second and self last’ as a result of which it has established its stronghold in every nook and corner of the Union Territory of J&K.
