Kamaal, Gupta urge NC cadre to further intensify mass outreach

JAMMU Nov 10: Urging National Conference cadre to further intensify mass outreach in their respective areas, additional general secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal and Provincial president, Rattan Lal Gupta today exuded confidence that given the resilience and dedication of grassroots level functionaries, the party will surmount all the challenges facing Jammu and Kashmir.
Felicitating Chander Mohan Sharma on being elected as District president Jammu Urban at a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu Dr Kamaal lauded the huge contribution of the cadre, including functionaries and grass-roots level workers in their different capacities, in making National Conference a vibrant and pro-poor political party that has withstood test of times even during most difficult times in the history.
Speaking on the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta said the National Conference has all along endeavored to satiate the distinct economic and political aspirations of the regions and sub-regions so that the state marches towards the goal of progress. It has been the effort of the leadership to see that no region or segment felt a sense of alienation or deprivation”, he said, adding that this being the motivating factor, the party worked tirelessly to achieve the set objectives. He said the National Conference is rooted deep because of its commitment to the people, irrespective of region or religion.
Expressing his gratitude to the leadership and the cadre for reposing faith in him, the District president Urban Chander Mohan Sharma said that he will work single mindedly to meet the expectations of the cadre.
Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Rattan Lal Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Javed Rana and other leaders greeted Sharma on his new assignment and wished him all the best in his political odyssey.
