JAMMU, Nov 10: Bahu Fort Police arrested three inter-state narcotics smugglers and recovered 9.275 kilograms of ganja from their possession.
As per police sources, during routine patrolling a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by PSI Balbir Singh and PSI Adarsh Kant intercepted three persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 9.275 kilograms of ganja from the possession of these persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Radhe Lal Chandra (29), son of Ram Din Chandra, Narmada Chandra (38), son of Firtu and Sunil Karsh (21), son of Samelal Karsh, all residents of Chhatisgarh.
A case FIR Number 364/2021 under Section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
The whole operation was conducted under the superivison of SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania, SDPO East Sajjad Sarwar and SP South Deepak Digra.
