Kalsotra meets Raj Rattan Ambedkar

JAMMU, Aug 26: Buddhist Society of India, J&K organised a seminar on “Why the Movement of  Buddhism has declined in India and how the movement can be revised” wherein Raj Rattan Ambedkar, great grand son of Baba Sahib B R Ambedkar was the Chief Guest.
R K Kalsotra, State president, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations personally, and on behalf of State Unit of Confederation welcomed Raj Rattan in Jammu City. Both the leaders discussed about the social, economic as well political position of the downtrodden.
Kalsotra informed Raj that being a majority Muslim State though no reference of caste atrocities noted from them but various issues are being reported on a day to day basis from upper caste Hindus on Dalits.
He further advised that due to implementation of land reform in J&K the downtrodden people who were tenants got land and due to that Dalits are somewhat better in position as compared to other states of India.
