JAMMU, May 2: Eminent artist K.K Gandhi has been invited as a resource person for the national art workshop ‘Kala Utsav’, organized by Department of Fine Arts at Kurukshetra University.
The five-day workshop is scheduled to be held from May 3 to 7, 2026 at Kurukshetra University campus on the theme ‘Women Empowerment’.
At Kala Utsav, Gandhi will engage closely with students and participants through interactive sessions, live demonstrations and experiential learning.
The initiative, led under the guidance of chairperson Visual Art Department, Dr. Gurcharan Singh, aims to promote cultural exchange, artistic excellence and socially conscious creative expression among young artists.
‘Kala Utsav’ is envisioned as a dynamic platform that brings together established artists and aspiring talents, fostering meaningful dialogue and creative exploration. The workshop underscores the power of art as a tool for social reflection and empowerment an ethos that resonates strongly with Gandhi’s own artistic philosophy.
