DODA, May 2: Acting on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Krishan Lal and under the supervision of ARTO Doda, Kapil Deol, the Office of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Doda launched a major enforcement drive against habitual traffic violators.
During the drive 31 route permits and 577 Registration Certificates (RCs) were suspended to ensure strict compliance with traffic laws and ensure public safety. The action, taken under Order No. 05 and 04 dated 30-04-2026, follows identification of vehicles through the VAHAN portal for repeated violations and multiple pending challans under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
The permits and RCs were suspended for three months with immediate effect, or until all dues are cleared and necessary legal compliances are fulfilled, whichever is later.
