We, the local inhabitants of Ward No. 63, KB Nagar Bantalab, Jammu want to draw the attention of the JMC authorities towards the drains of Lane No. 6, which are totally chocked and filled with garbage and silt. The drain water of Lane Nos 3,4, and 5 flow towards Lane No. 6 and remain stagnant in the said lane. This water overflows the drains and enters into the adjoining houses. It becomes impossible to pass through this lane particularly and the most sufferers are the small school going children and old age persons in particular. The drains and lanes have been damaged because of such a situation. The public of this locality has been continuously suffering since last many years and requesting the concerned JMC authorities for redressal of our grievances but of no avail. The Safai Karamcharis as well as supervisors do not perform their duties regularly and sincerely in JMC Ward No. 63, which is creating much unhygienic condition in this locality.
The matter stands informed already to the Corporator of this Ward, but no action has been taken to redress our grievances.
This situation can be averted only by removal of blockage from thie drains in Lane No. 6, deputing appropriate number of Safai Karamcharies and Supervisors for ensuring proper maintenance of drains, smooth flow of drain water and cleanliness in the locality. Further the concerned contractor be directed to take up maintenance of this Ward, especially this locality, particularly at par with other wards.
Besides, the street lights in Lane No. 6 of this ward are mostly out of order and no Lineman takes care to repair and maintain these street lights, which also cause great inconvenience to the local inhabitants as during evening hours the whole area plunges into darkness, which provokes and attracts unsocial elements to materialize their nefarious designs.
We request for diverting the drain water of Lane No. 3, 4, and 5 to some other routes so that it may flow properly without stagnation and inconvenience to any person. Moreover the street lights are requested to be repaired and maintained regularly.
JMC authorities have never visited this locality, as a result of which we are facing the lack of basic amenities.
We hope for immediate redressal of our genuine issues.

Instal Airtel network tower
The Airtel network in village Gurha Jagir Mohalla Karngal is very poor. Due to this poor connectivity, people here face numerous problems.
While the people in other parts are enjoying 4G network, it is very disgusting that we have been made to wait for this service.
The Airtel authorities have been already informed about this problem but no action has been taken to redress the grievance.
We, therefore request the authorities to instal a mobile tower in the area to improve the service.

Plea to Director General of J&K Police
The Director General of J&K Police is requested to undertake urgent repair and renovation of the only Heritage building of Raja of Chenani, under use of Police Station Chenani from 1947 onwards. Pertinent to mention that this Heritage Bungalow was constructed by Raja Ram Chand of Chenani as State Guest House on the occasion of marriage of Crown Prince of Chenani Tikka Prakesh Chand much before independence. After independence Chenani merged with J&K State and Raja Chenani was granted special pension. It is to be noted that during the Rule of Raja of Chenani, the Police Station had its own building at some other location. The Police Station was later shifted to this private building of Raja Chenani without the consent of Raja. This beautiful building is still under the possession of Police Department but sorry to say that not even a single Rupee has been spent on its repair and renovation. The public of Chenani and adjoining areas have been requesting time and again to Police Department for the repair and renovation of this Heritage building but all in vain. As the Royal Palace of Chenani and other Heritage Forts and Palaces of erstwhile kings have turned into ruins due to neglect on the part of concerned authorities. This old building under use of Police Station Chenani is the only visible remains of great Historial heritage of oldest State of Chenani established by Chandervanshi kings in early Nineth Century. So this is not just an ordinary bungalow but a great Historical Heritage of Duggar Land. J&K Police is requested to order immediate repair and renovation of this very important Heritage building of Chenani for its proper preservation.

Toph Pull road in bad condition
Kind attention of the JMC authorities is drawn towards the bad condition of Toph Pull-Pawan ice cream road. This road patch is riddled with pot-holes and ditches. Its condition has worsened after widening work of Akhnoor road was started. At present whole of the traffic is diverted through this road, with the result, there is huge traffic rush, besides huge columns of dust swirl in the area causing great inconvenience to the residents and the motorists. It may be said here that the widening work may take lot of time to get completed, till that time, the parallel road be metalled to sreamline traffic on this road.
