JAMMU, Mar 22: Jyotsna Sharma, Ph D scholar at the School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, has been awarded the Young Scientist Award (Special Session) for her Oral Presentation at the “National Seminar on Increasing Participation of Women in Science & Technology”.
The oral presentation, presented in the recently organized seminar by the Equal Opportunity Cell, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in collaboration with National Commission for Women, Govt of India, titled “Development of in Vitro Conservation Protocol and Confirmation of Traditionally Acclaimed Medicinal Properties of Less Explored Medicinal Herb Nanorrhinum ramosissimum”.
The focal theme of the Seminar was envisaged keeping in view the low representation of Indian women in science and technology workforce.
