JAMMU, June 17: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today organised a protest rally against PDD and IRCON for long power cuts in Jammu city.
The protest rally was led by JWAM president, Sunil Dimple who wrote a letter to the Governor Satya Pal Malik demanding not to install four lakh smart powers meters in Jammu.
He also demanded installation of LED lamps on main roads of the Jammu West constituency and the city.
Addressing the protest rally Dimple said that cable boxes and pillars of PDD and IRCON are burning as substandard work was done.
He demanded CBI probe into the works of IRCON and PDD.
The JWAM leader said that Janipur and Gildni grid stations have become defunct as they are 40 years old.
Prominent among the protesters were Piyare Lal Sharma, Ashok Khanna, Jetinder Gupta, Vipan, Mukesh, Rakesh Sharma, Das Kumar, Dev Raj, Thodu Ram and others.
