Juvenile detained in mobile snatching case

JAMMU, Jan 25: Panjtirthi Police detained a juvenile in mobile snatching case.
As per police sources, on January 18 this year, a complaint was lodged at Police Post Panjtirthi by a lady namely Roopa Bhasin, wife of Anil Bhasin of Tange Vali Gali, Kacchi Chawni that on January 17, 2022 at around 3:55 pm some unidentified boy snatched her Samsung A70 Mobile phone when she was standing outside her house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 08/2022 under Section 382 IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Panjtirthi rounded up some suspects and finally nabbed a juvenile from Gorkha Nagar. On his disclosure, the snatched mobile was also recovered.
On this, apprehension form was filled of the child in Police Post Panjtirthi and child was produced to Juvenile Justice Board for remand, which further shifted child to Juvenile Home, RS Pura for 9 days.
The case was solved by police team led by Incharge Police Post Panjthrthi SI Rahul Sharma under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Raghubir Choudhary, SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa.
