Jugal reviews implementation of Central schemes in Rajouri

RAJOURI, May 15: The meeting of Vigilance and Monitoring Committee of Rajouri district was held today under the chairmanship of Member Parliament Jugal Kishore to review the physical and financial progress registered by various departments under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) during the year 2014-15.
Legislators Ch. Qammar Hussain, Ravinder Raina, Vibodh Gupta, besides Sarpanchs and district officers of various departments attended the meeting.
District Development Commissioner, Deepti Uppal gave a detailed account of allocation and achievements for the year 2014 -15 . She informed the meeting that against an amount of Rs 18453.59 lakh made available under MGNREGA, IAY, DRDA (Adm), PMGSY, IWMP, ARWSP, TSC (SBM), National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP, SSA RMSA and NHM, Rs 13338.55 lakh stands expended during the year 2014-15.
The members of the committee asked the concerned departments to create mass awareness about the schemes being implemented by them so that their benefits percolate down to the targeted population.
Legsilators also discussed in detail the status of various developmental works being carried out in the district. They asked the concerned officers to expedite the work so as to ensure development at ground level.
The MP directed the officers to work in a coordinated manner to ensure effective implementation of the schemes . He asked the concerned officers to ensure that the set targets are achieved and funds are utilized in judicious manner.
He assured his full support and cooperation to get projects sanctioned from the Govt of India.
