Jugal, Priya highlight one year achievements of Modi Govt

ANANTNAG, May 28: In connection with Party’s Jan Kalyan Parav BJP held a public meeting here today which among others was addressed by party State president and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Minister of State for Education and Culture, Priya Sethi, BJP MLC Sofi Mohammad Yousaf and Ghulam Nabi Dar South Zone president of the party.
Addressing the rally Jugal Kishore highlighted the one year achievements of Modi Government and said that what Congress could not do and achieve in 10 years of UPA rule Modi Government has done more than that during its one year in power.
Lashing out at Congress and NC who ruled the State during last six years said that they put the J&K on path of destruction and BJP is working hard to put it back on rails.
He said corruption and nepotism was peak during NC -Congress rule when the BJJP -PDP coalition has resolved to weed out the corruption from public life and take tough and stern action against the corrupt how influential they may be.
The BJP president said during one year rule of Modi Government at Delhi many more public welfare schemes were launched and they have started bearing fruit. The Modi Government is committed to welfare of the poor people by containing price rise and generating more employment avenues for the youth. The innovative steps were taken for welfare of farmers, industrialists etc, he added.
Addressing the meeting Priya Sethi also highlighted the achievements of Modi led Government during last one year in office and said it was because of the better performance of this Government that India’s image improved at international level.
She said India has emerged a force to reckon with at international level and country is slated to touch heights during next four years of the NDA rule at Centre, she added.
The Minister said that people should not have misgivings about the performance of coalition in the State as three months period is too less a time to judge the performance of any Government. She assured the masses that the coalition will come upto the expectations of the people in all three regions of the State.
She said the flag hoisting by senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi at Lal Chowk Srinagar 23 years back yielded fruit as BJP succeeded in coming to power in the Sate. She also said Modi led NDA Government has initiated many schemes for welfare of women, minorities and backward and down trodden people.
BJP general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, party secretary (Org) Veer Saraf and other leaders also attended the meeting.
