JAMMU, Sept 4: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha from Jammu-Poonch constituency along with Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta, corporators JMC, Jeet Angral, Ajay Gupta and senior leaders of BJP today inaugurated Rigid Pavement road in Ward No. 12 from Pawan Ice Cream to Canal Head in Jammu West Constituency.
Member of Parliament while addressing the gathering present on the occasion said that water logging problem was a challenge on this road and due to water logging road usually gets damaged. People have to suffer a lot due to its bad condition and number of times deputations approached me to repair the road.
He said that this road is very important as CSIR Institute, Government Higher Secondary School and Government B.Ed Women College, CID Headquarters, Passport Sewa Kendra are situated adjoining this road and students and staff have to face a lot of problems. It was decided that rigid pavement concrete is the solution of this road & work have been executed. He said that now this road is constructed with rigid pavement costing Rs. 86 lacs and now will not get damaged due to water logging. He said that upgradation of this road was the burning demand which is now fulfilled.
Member of Parliament also inspected the development works done under MPLADS in Ward No. 12 and feel contented that people are getting great benefit through these development works.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC complimented Member of Parliament for sparing his valuable time and visiting Ward No. 12 of JMC. He also complimented him for dedicating his funds from MPLADS for Ward No. 12 so that people get maximum benefits. He said that he started his career as dedicated Party worker and get many inspirations from Member of Parliament.
Executive Engineer PWD(R&B), Suresh Khajuria along with staff, Mandal president BJP, Keshav Chopra, senior leaders, Prem Gupta,Munish Gupta,Ayodhya Gupta,Sahil Sharma,Atul Bakshi,Anil Angral, Manmohan Sharma,Varinder Dogra, Pratibha Sharma and others also were present at the occasion.
