JTC, PCC Migrant Cell slam Union Govt for ignoring displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Jan 16: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) and PCC Migrant Cell J&K was held at Jagti Township today under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita.
The meeting, while discussing the problems of displaced people expressed grave concern over the attitude of Union Government which it alleged has totally ignored the community.
Addressing the meeting Shadi Lal Pandita said the Narendra Modi Government has failed to keep the promises made during the Lok Sabha elections and the community has been deprived of all the basic facilities.
Highlighting the demands he said that the cash relief be enhanced to Rs 25,000 per month besides on spot recruitment drive be launched in Police Department. He also demanded creation of 3000 class fourth posts for displaced youth in various Government departments, launching of new recruitment drive for the educated migrant youth, settlement of over aged youth, compensation for damaged losses, removal of encroachment from Hindu religious places and other properties of migrants in Valley, release of pending ex-gratia relief and declaring of Kashmiri Pandits as minority.
