KATHUA, Jan 16: A Karyana shop was brunt into ashes at Chhan Rodian near here during intervening night. The shop belonged to Subash Chander.
The local people noticed the smoke coming out of the shop and informed the owner. When the shop was opened it was brunt and goods worth lakhs of rupees had perished in the fire.
A fire tender also reached the spot to douse the fire but till then the damage of goods had taken place. The shop keeper said that he did not know the cause of fire but there was loss of more than ten lakhs. The police started investigation into the matter and also registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
