JAMMU, Mar 28: Expressing concern over growing criminal incidents like Sarore incident and murder of a forest guard in Birpur area, Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) today asked the Government to come clean on Sarore incident by conducting a CBI inquiry.
The issues came up for discussion during a meeting of the forum convened under the chairmanship of Pavitar Singh (Retd Session Judge) to discuss growing criminal incidents by some miscreants under the protection of political outfits.
While discussing Sarore incident, the Forum members alleged that some criminals involved in serious crimes like robberies, theft and murders are being unnecessarily sheltered by the political outfits. “Moreover, the police department when swings into action to curb their activities is snubbed by the department which clearly indicates that the entire administration is hand in gloves with the criminals”, they added.
Alleging that the self styled leader who is the mastermind of the Sarore incident is basically a history sheeter and more than 20 cases are registered in different police station against him, the Forum urged Governor NN Vohra to intervene into the matter of Sarore incident and conduct a CBI inquiry for transparency.
