JAMMU, Sept 17: A team of Jammu Municipal Corporation today conducted an extensive tour of Aap Shambu temple area in Roop Nagar and sensitized shopkeepers and citizens on dustbin distribution scheme.
The team comprised JMC Health and Sanitation Committee Chairman Arun Khanna, Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav, Corporator Rekha Manhas, Joint Commissioner Kulbushan Khajuria and Health Officer Vinod Sharma among others.
A large number of local people attended the function.
A `Nukkad Natak’ was also organized on the occasion in the premises of Aap Shambu temple, which motivated and sensitized the participants about harmful impact of plastic waste on environment and human health.
The JMC team also delivered message for responsible disposal of wet and dry waste.
