JAMMU, July 20: Under instructions from K.L. Khajuria Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu, the Enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer sealed the premises of Garish Chander Raina of Late Sh Govind Ram Sharma who had converted the residential building into commercial one by opening a computer institute and ticket booking agency at Patel Nagar, Akhnoor Road, near Petrol pump, Jammu in violation of the status quo order passed by the J&K Special Tribunal. The opening of said commercial building was also causing traffic hazard in the vicinity and inconvenience to the people residing there.
Besides, this the Enforcement staff also conducted the anti-encroachment drive and demolished the walls which were being raised by encroaching upon Government land at Rampura Nai Basti, here. The team also cleared the footpaths and pavements in the areas of Gandhi Nagar, Bikram Chowk etc and seized the goods /articles kept by shopkeepers/ vendors there.
