JMC Councillor starts lane-drain, tile work

JAMMU, Jan 14: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Amit Gupta here today started lane-drain and tile work at Fish Market near Gumat area of Ward number 19 which will be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 8 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor appealed to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
He urged upon the locals to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and shun the habit of throwing debris, garbage etc in public drains and lanes.
Gupta further said that the people should segregate dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals present on the occasion were Rajesh Gupta, Raju Sharma, Rajiv Gupta, Bharat Bhushan, Madan, Anil Gupta, Bitti, Pawan, Bharat, Sachin, Sunil and others.
