JKTWA concerned over non-clearance of GP Fund liabilities

JAMMU, Nov 2: J&K Teacher’s Welfare Association has taken a strong exception to the non-clearance of GP Fund liability by the Treasuries as highlighted in today’s edition of this newspaper, besides burgeoning financial liabilities cropping in day by day of Education Department.
The Association has urged the Education Minister, Nayeem Akhter and Finance Minister, Haseeb Drabu to solve these issues before the ensuing Diwali so that festival can be enjoyed by Teachers / Masters/Lecturers/ ReTs/ Cooks and their families with joy and fervour.
“Pending liabilities of salaries of ReTs/ SSA Masters besides MDM liabilities, cooks working on honorarium of Rs 1000/- are due since long and it is earnestly urged to clear the financial mess immediately before the ensuing festival,” said  Jasmeet Singh Madaan, president, J&K Teacher’s Welfare Association in a statement.
