JAMMU, Nov 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committe (JKSAC) has strongly criticized the Modi Government at the Centre for returning refugees’ package of Rs 9096 crore with a rider to the State Government.
While speaking in a meeting held at RS Pura today, JKSAC president Gurdev Singh said despite commitment made by the BJP during Parliamentary elections, the Central Government returned the package. With this true face of the BJP has come to the fore. He said it is highly unjustified to club the issue with the West Pakistan refugees who are non-state subject. The refugees leader also criticized NC and Congress for causing delay in approving this package just to befool lakhs of displaced persons from POJK and sending half cooked package to the Centre, ignoring many families. Mr Singh warned the Centre to reconsider the package or get ready to face the wrath of displaced persons.
Master Mohan Singh, Avtar Singh, Ch Rishi Ram, D S Wazir, Prof Amrik Singh and B R Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
