JKPYC intensifies protest against skyrocketing fuel prices, inflation

DODA, July 14: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (JKYC) today intensified its protest against skyrocketing fuel prices and increasing inflation, here today.
The protest was held under the leadership of Jagdeev Gaga, National Secretary IYC and Uday Bhanu Chib, president JKPYC and raised slogans against the BJP Government at the Centre.
Talking to media persons here, Jagdeev Gaga slammed the BJP Government over petrol prices crossing Rs 100 per litre, alleging that the Modi Government runs the notion of “tax extortion”. He alleged that when “looters” govern a country, the masses have to suffer from inflation.
Uday Bhanu Chib said that the people of the country were facing extreme unemployment, economic helplessness and high inflation. “In such a situation, instead of giving relief to the people, the Government is grinding the people by trapping them in the wheel of inflation,” he said.
Latish Sharma, PYC Secretary said that the Government of the day should be considerate towards the welfare of the people but has been ignoring the plight of the common people. “The hike in petroleum products is the root cause behind the unprecedented increase in prices of essential commodities,” he claimed.
Jahanzaib Sirwal, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Sulamon Tak, Waseem Raja, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Sajad Hussian and Jaffer Hussian were prominent leaders of Congress who participated in the protest.
