JAMMU, May 2: J&K Private Schools Coordination Committee has demanded restoration of 4G internet service at the earliest as the online teaching-learning process in view of the lockdown was facing hindrance because of poor connectivity.
The issue was highlighted in a telephonic meeting of all the executive members of JKPSCC , convened by Rameshwar Manhas and Dr Hari Dutt Shishu to discuss the situation arising out of alleged incident of trespassing into a private school in Patoli area of district Jammu and intimidation of its Principal by a self styled social activist.
Expressing deep anguish and higher concern over the incident, which creates a sense of lawlessness, Shishu informed the JKPSCC members that a representation detailing the whole episode has been submitted to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu with proper intimation to Deputy Commissioner, Director-School Education and SSP Jammu seeking strict against the person responsible for the incident who was allegedly blackmailing the private schools by creating such scenes.
JKPSCC expressed satisfaction that despite very limited resources and poor internet connectivity, the private school teachers were putting in every possible efforts in engaging the students in learning process even as they are no used to this type of teaching method.
G N Var, president of Private School Association, JK ( Kashmir), also participated in the telephonic meeting and supported the demand of 4G restoration as well as action against those harassing the private schools for black mailing purposes.
