JAMMU, Oct 28: J&K People’s Front (JKPF) has urged the district administration to take action against the land mafia which has grabbed the State land in various places in Jammu as well as Chowadhi.
In a statement president of the Front Satish Poonchi said that land mafia in collaboration with some officials and contractors are eyeing the prime State land in the Chowadhi area and despite the instructions of Revenue authorities a road is being constructed in the area to grab the State land.
He said though after the intervention of some people the PWD authorities stopped the work on the road but the mafia is still active and they are trying to grab the land by hook or the crook.
Satish Poonchi in an appeal to Revenue authorities urged them to take firm action against the mafia so that there designs to grab the land near the newly constructed Power Station in the area are foiled.
