JKP distributes free study material among deserving students

NOWSHERA, Mar 11: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Rajouri under the Civic Action Programme today distributed free school bags, books, note-books and other study materials amongst poor and needy 50 students of High School Sarya, Nowshera.
The function was attended by hundreds of school children including Headmaster Sham Lal and other villagers of the adjoining areas.
While speaking on the occasion, SDPO Nowshera Pardeep Singh Goria emphasized on the need of providing education to the students, which in turn can help in development of the area.
He said that it is the endeavour of J&K Police to make society literate and aware about their legal rights.
Sarpanchs and Panchs also spoke on this occasion and conveyed thanks to J&K Police for distributing study materials to needy students of remote villages. They requested for organizing such programmes in future also for the overall development of their children.
Mr Shahzad, SHO Nowshera was also present on the occasion.
