SRINAGAR, Sept 26: Employees under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) here today carried out a protest demonstration in support of their demands.
The protesters led by JKNTUF president, Mohammad Gafoor Dar raised slogans in support of their demands and asked the State Government to fulfill the commitment made with the employees. The protesters demanded that the State Government should fulfill the demands before September 30 otherwise the employees would be forced to come on streets once again.
Dar demanded that left over daily wagers appointed after 1994 should be regularized since they are discharging their duties in departments like forest, social forestry, PHE and Irrigation and Flood Control. He asked all the employees to take part in the programme of the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) scheduled to be held on September 29.
