JAMMU, Oct 17: Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists’ Association (JKGPA), Jammu today highlighted their genuine demands and urged the Government to fulfill them expeditiously.
Addressing a press conference here at JKMEF office in the office complex of Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Sushil Sudan, president, JKGPA and general secretary, All India Government Pharmacists’ Association, urged the Government to clear the pending DPC of health employees, besides upgradation of post of Pharmacist to District Pharmacy Officer, Block Pharmacy Officer, Head Pharmacist, Supervisory Pharmacist and Senior Pharmacist.
He also stressed for implementation of All India Pharmacy Act in J&K State in toto, upgradation/creation of posts of Anesthesia, ECG, Theater Technician at District Hospitals, Sub- District Hospitals, PHCs and fill such posts from in-service trained Government Pharmacists. The demands of registration of RMP during service through Pharmacy Council of J&K and amendment of SRO 20 were also highlighted by Sudan.
Jarnail Choudhary, working president, JKGPA Jammu, also highlighted the burning demands of the association and urged the authorities to fulfill all the demands expeditiously.
Further, Sudan on behalf of JKGPA extended full support to one-day protest dharna going to be organized by JKMEF on October 24 at Shashi Bala Memorial Park, Directorate of Health Services Complex, Jammu and urged to all the pharmacists working in the region to whole heartedly support the program.
