JKAACL organizes cultural evening

KATHUA, May 19: In order to promote cultural and literary activity, JKAACL Sub Office Kathua organized a cultural evening at Phinter in Billawar.
The scintillating performances by the seasonal artists were showcased which enthralled the august gathering.
Speaking of the occasion SOCA Kathua Sanjeev Gupta said that it is our moral responsibility to reach every untouched place with culture. Phinter is not much aware of culture and this time we are here to showcase rich cultural tradition of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Jammu is very rich in terms of culture and our goal is to take the culture to every household so that the young guns get to know their roots”, Gupta added.
The programme was conducted on the direction of Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Bharat Singh and under the supervision of Sanjeev Rana Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
The programme started with the mesmerizing performances of Zulekha Fareed and Rakesh Malhotra who made everyone spellbound with their soulful singing alongwith Dogri Folk Dance by Ruksana Akthar and party. This was followed by Qawali by Chaman Matto who left no stone unturned with his art of singing. The programme was culminated with the performances by Rao Brothers who steal the show which their powerful singing of Dogri songs.
The programme was conducted by the senior anchor of the Union Territory Sat Salarbi.
