BJP aims at bridging gap between people, governance: Yudhvir

JAMMU, May 19: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) today asserted that his party has its own grievance redressal mechanism to address people’s problems and issues based on bridging the gap between the common man and the governance.
He expressed this, while listening to people’s grievances at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan in Kacchi Chawni here, today. He was accompanied by Parveen Kerni, East Mandal president, Savita Anand district president, Mahila Morcha, Vipin Sharma general secretary, East Mandal and Suresh Bharti secretary, East Mandal.
Various deputations and individuals called on the senior BJP leader and brought to his notice the issues and problems of their respective areas. Some of them highlighted issues being related to the drinking water, electricity, lanes, drains, roads, revenue records, etc.
They apprised him of their concerns regarding development of their respective areas besides, certain individual administrative issues.
Yudhvir Sethi assured them that all their grievances will be addressed very soon as he will take up them with the concerned authorities on top priority. He telephonically talked to some of the concerned departmental officials who addressed some of the grievances instantly. However, in the rest of cases he issued letters on the spot to the concerned authorities.
While addressing the visiting deputations and individuals, Yudhvir said that BJP has its own internal grievances redressal mechanism to address the issues of the people and as part of that mechanism the party leaders listen to the grievances of the masses on every Thursday at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan to sort out them.
The senior BJP leader said that the party believes in bridging the gap between the people and it’s leaders as well as between the people and the institution of governance.
