JKAACL holds Dogri Mushaira, book exhibition at GDC Jindrah

JAMMU, Oct 27: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) today organized a Dogri Mushaira and a book exhibition of Academy Publication at Government Degree College (GDC), Jindrah in memory of late Kuldeep Singh Jindrahia, an eminent Dogri writer.
The function was presided over by an eminent writer and Sahitya Akademi Awardee, Gianeshwar Sharma whereas Chandermoli Sharma was the chief guest and Sunil Nanda was the special guest. Nutan Kumar Rasotra, Principal GDC, Jindrah also shared the presidium.
While speaking, Chandermoli Sharma appreciated the sincere efforts of the Academy in holding the literary activity in such a far flung area. He also appreciated the poets of the area for their wonderful recitation of Dogri poetry.
While addressing the gathering, Gianeshwar Sharma, applauded the efforts of Cultural Academy for preservation and promotion of regional culture and traditional heritage by organizing such programme in the interior of Jammu region.
Yash Pal Nirmal, Research Assistant of the Dogri Dictionary, presented welcome address and also conducted proceedings of the programme. The vote of thanks was delivered by Nutan Kumar Rasotra, Principal GDC, Jindrah.
The main attraction of the Mushaira was a big display of Academy publication in the College. The students of the College took keen interest in watching Academy publication especially Dogri publications and purchased a large number of books.
Those who recited their poems included Puran Chand Badgotra, Gianeshwar Sharma, Susheel Begana, Joginder Lal, Kuldeep Kipi, Randhir Singh, Subsash Sumbria, Arya Veer, Rajinder Kumar, Kewal Kumar Kewal, Roshan Lal, Vickey Aarruhi Sharma, Sheetal Jamwal, Kailash Kumar, Sunita Sharma, Anjali Sharma and Shamsher Singh.
