J&K records 170 cases, Ladakh 9

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Sept 16: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 170 fresh COVID positives cases while the UT of Ladakh recorded nine new positives, all in Leh district.
Forty one fresh COVID positive cases were registered in the Jammu region including 19 in Reasi district, all of whom were travelers who tested positive on their arrival at Katra Railway Station.
Positive cases in other districts include 10 in Jammu, five Rajouri, four Doda, two Kishtwar and one in Udhampur while Kathua, Samba, Poonch and Ramban districts didn’t report any cases.
Twelve persons recovered from the virus leaving active positive cases to 253.
All nine cases in the UT of Ladakh were reported in Leh district. The UT now has 40 active positive cases including 38 in Leh and two in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 129 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 70 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 27 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 5 from Kupwara, 3 from Bandipora and 7 from Ganderbal
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 204,046 including 200,632 recoveries and 2,246 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,421 including 1,168 from Kashmir division and 252 from Jammu division.
With 98 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 321,630, which is 98.22 percent of the total cases.
