J&K Grameen Bank Retirees discuss problems

JAMMU, Nov 15: A general body meeting of J&K Grameen Bank Retirees Welfare Association (J&KGBRWA) was held here under the chairmanship of its president, S. Ranbir Singh wherein organizational matters and problems being faced by the retirees of the Bank were discussed.
Main focus of the speakers was on the withheld retirement benefits of many retirees of the Bank and the Association asked the Bank Management to release the same without any delay.
In some cases partial benefits have been withheld for years and in some cases total retirement benefits have been withheld ignoring the financial suffering and mental agony of the retirees at the fag-end of their lives.
A handout stated that all appeals of the retirees in this regard were ignored.
The Association president and his teammates assured to do their best to stress upon the Management of the Bank for early and amicable solution to the burning issue so that the retirees and their families may heave a sigh of relief.
