J&K gets IT Award for Dudu-Basantgarh website

JAMMU, Nov 24: In a rare honour, Jammu and Kashmir has won the prestigious CSI-Nihilent IT Award for conceptualization, creation and launch of first official website of a Sub-Division – www.dudubasantgarh.gov.in’.
This website was created and launched by then SDM Dudu-Basantgarh Amit Sharma in the month of November 2011.
CSI (Computer Society of India) is an internationally acknowledged organization, established since 1955 and it promotes rare IT initiatives taken across the board in various States of India.
J&K has bagged this award for Dudu Basantgarh website after various rounds of short listings, which finally ended with the final presentation made at Hyderabad by Amit Sharma about the significance of this website. The award will be conferred upon the State on December 14 at Vishakapatnam in CSI Annual Convocation.
Amit Sharma, who spearheaded the launch of Dudu Basantgarh website, is also conceptualizing and working towards creation of various e-governance solutions for J&K.
