J&K Ex-Policemen League holds meet, projects issues

JAMMU, Apr 7: J&K Ex-Policemen League held a meeting under the chairmanship of its General Secretary Shamsher Bhagat.
In the meeting, the members of the league deliberated on various issues and demanded appointment of Nodal officer, constitution of Grievances Cell Redressal Forum for liasoning among Police, Home, Finance and Accountant General Jammu for better coordination, enhancement of medical allowance, removal of pay anomalies in the backdrop of implementation of pay commissions, widening the scope of welfare schemes and programmes, participating in national and sports events and bondage between ex-police and serving police personnel.
They also demanded reservation quote for the wards of policemen in recruitment, withdrawal of security of protected persons, participation in Police Welfare Performance of last rites and revival of SRO.
The members also demanded enhancement of scholarship amount, participating in Police Welfare Committee meetings, attention towards the welfare of families of police martyrs and dignified performance of last rites.
Among others present were PR Sharma, National General Secretary JKEP Men League, Manohar Lal, Satpal, Ashok Kumar and others.
