JAMMU, Oct 2: JK Christian Minority Welfare Association organized an impressive program at Christian Colony, Residency Road, Ward number 7, today distributed free ration among the genuinely disable, needy and deserving families that have been hit hard by the pandemic.
Gafoor Masih, Ex President Christian Biradhri was the chief guest on the occasion. He applauded the effort of JKCMWA for continuous service to the destitute society and requested the organization to keep doing the good work. At the same time, he requested people to continue wearing masks and observe social distancing.
Mr Masih further said: “It is very inspiring to see the Christian societies coming forward to help the needy and poor and contributing to society.”
Nassir Masih, Chairman of the organization said that Christian Minority Welfare Association continued its drive to help the underprivileged with the vision that “No one shall be deprived of the basic needs” irrespective of their caste and religion, especially when they pass through difficult times during this mammoth crisis and this kind of humanitarian work is very much needed in the society
Michael Wazir, President of the organization, informed that the organization is also making awareness about COVID-19 among the lesser-privileged classes who have very limited access to trustworthy information about the viral infection and its prevention. He further said the organization was grateful to all those who always extended a helping hand for such causes.
