J&K Bank opens fresh currency counter at Vaishno Devi Bhawan

JAMMU, Sept 21: On the eve of Navratras, Business Unit (BU) Vaishno Devi Bhawan of J&K Bank has offered services of fresh cash currency/note exchange counter.
The facility of fresh currency notes has been started to facilitate the devotee coming here from all length and breadth of the country. The fresh currency counter was inaugurated by Jitendra Kumar Singh Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) in presence of SDM Bhawan, Jagdish Singh and Tehsildar, Dhuni Chand.
While speaking on the occasion, the CEO lauded the relentless efforts of the bank at Vaishno Devi Bhawan and in the State of Jammu and Kashmir for the upliftment of the weaker section, trade and industry and being the biggest industry of the State in absorption of highest number of unemployed local youths.
The CEO of SMVDSB asked the bank management to ensure that no devotee faced any difficulty in getting fresh currency and in exchange of notes at Vaishno Devi Bhawan on the eve of Navratras.
Branch Head assured the CEO that that no devotee visiting the shrine will face any difficulty in exchange of notes and in getting fresh currency notes at the bank counter.
The function was attended by officials of the SMVDSB, police, CRPF, local shopkeepers and large number of devotees from different corners of the country.
