SRINAGAR, Feb 7: J&K Bank gave two insurance claim cheques amounting to Rs 30 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs to the family members of late Aijaz Hussain and late Shaheen Jabeen, respectively, both of whom passed away due to illness while in service. The employees were covered under the Bank’s Group Insurance policy for Staff.
The Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir Central- I Syed Rais Maqbool handed over the cheques to the daughter of Aijaz Hussain and the spouse of Shaheen Jabeen at the bank’s Zonal Office here.
“The well-being of staff continues to remain one of the top priorities of the Bank’s management always and that includes the safety and welfare of their family members in case of unforeseen eventualities. That’s why the J&K Bank comprehensively covers all its employees under Term Life and Accidental Insurance policies so that their families and children are protected against financial hardships in case of their unfortunate death”, said the Zonal Head of the Bank on the occasion.
“As I hand over these cheques to the family members of our deceased colleagues, I pray for the peace of their departed souls besides patience for their loved ones”, Maqbool added.
