JDA prevents encroachment of 60 kanals of land

JAMMU, Feb 20: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) today prevented encroachment of 60 kanals of land in village Raipur Koular.
Vice Chairperson JDA, Sushma Chauhan along with a team of JDA officials conducted an extensive tour of the JDA lands today. The tour started with Birpur followed by Thanger, Channi Rama, Rakh Bahu, Deeli, Rakh Raipur, Beli Charana, Bhagwati Nagar and Gole Gujral.
A huge stretch of 60 kanals was saved from encroachment as illegal encroachers had started fencing the land in village Raipur Koular.
VC instructed the enforcement officials, particularly the grass root officials (Gangmen) to keep a strong vigil on the lands of JDA.
The officials were told either to bring the encroachments to the notice of higher authorities or to face departmental and criminal action for lack of devotion towards duty.
The officials who accompanied the VC included  Jatinder Singh, Director Land Management, Narinder Singh, Chief Khilawarzi Officer, Muzaffar Malik, Tehsildar Zone (B), Vijay Sharma, Tehsildar Zone (A), Roop Lal, XEn, JDA, Div No. 1 and Collector Land Acquisition.
