JAMMU, Feb 20: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Central Transmission Utility and a Government of India enterprise is going to undertake on behalf of Jay Pee Power Grid Limited (JPL) the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of all indoor and outdoor equipments installed in the four 400 KV bays at Abdullapur Sub-Station.
These four 400 bays are 400 KV Karcham-Wangtoo Ckt-I main bay, 400 KV Karcham-Wangtoo Ckt-II main bay, 400 KV Karcham-Wangtoo Ckt-I tie bay and 400 KV Karcham-Wangtoo Ckt-II tie bay.
These bays have been constructed and commissioned as a deposit work by Power Grid under a separate agreement, the ownership of which rests with the JPL.
The maintenance and operation of the associated 400 KV transmission lines is exclusively being done by JPL, the operation and maintenance of the terminal equipments at the 400/220 KV Abdullapur Sub-Station as above are proposed to be done by Power Grid.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this connection was signed by KR Suri, General Manager (O&M) on behalf of Power Grid and Suresh Jain, Senior Vice President, Transmission, on behalf of JPL in presence of senior executives.
