JAMMU, Nov 12: A delegation of Jagti Coordination Committee (JCC) led by its president, Ravi Zutshi called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita and discussed various issues concerning the inmates of Jagti township including Insurance scheme for relief holders and pensioners.
Posting of Paramedical staff with 24 hours availability of medicine, posting of teaching staff in schools and sanction of generator for Higher Secondary School at Jagti which is a long pending demand of JCC, renovation of roads and building in toto and maintenance of community halls, allotment of shops to those who were running their business units at previous camps who suffered heavy losses.
The delegation demanded restoration of water supply to the camp with dug well near the over head tanks reserves to meet the water crises in future.
The Relief Commissioner informed the delegation that steps have already been taken by the Government and instructions have also been issued to the concerned departments to mitigate the problems faced by the camp inmates and assured that some issues are under consideration and will be addressed on priority basis.
The members of JCC included Sanjay Raina, Raj Kapoor, B L Koul, Susheel, Sunil, Bharat Ji, Chandji Pandita, Ashokji were present in the delegation.
Meanwhile, JCC has fully backed the installation of a Hindu Chief Minister in the State and appealed the Kashmiri migrants to fill up their M Forms and make election process a success.
