JAMMU, Oct 31: Jewel Bazar Shopkeepers Association unanimously re-elected Atal Bihari Khajuria as chairman today.
The other office bearers elected are Kasturi Lal Gupta as president, Advocate Kamal Gupta as general secretary, Bansi lal Gupta as senior vice president, Avtar Singh as vice president, Pawan Kumar as vice president, Tarsem Lal Jandyal as vice president, Sunil Kumar Bitto ( PaanWala) as secretary, Dr Ram Bhardwaj as secretary, Surinder Kumar as organising secretary, Anil Kumar as joint secretary, Ashwani Singh as joint Secretary, Ashwani Mengi as Treasurer, Charanjit as publicity secretary and Jaspal Singh as media incharge of the association.
The elected office bearers unanimously requested Dr Taran Singh to guide the association as the chief patron of the Jewel Bazar Shopkeepers Association.
While extending thanks for re-electing him as chairman to head the association, Khajuria assured the shopkeepers of Jewel Bazar that he will do his best to full fill the aspirations of bazar shopkeepers. He said that our association remain ahead while celebrating all national days including Independence Day, Republic day, Martyrs day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh etc. They are regularly organising free medical camps for the benefit of trader community. He further demanded that Municipal Corporation should install life size statute of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk.
The meeting ended with the vote of thanks presented by Advocate Kamal Gupta general secretary of the association.
