KATHUA, Sept 30: The dead body of an Army jawan was found hanging on a tree in Mahanpur area of tehsil Basohli today.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year old Sunesh Kumar, son of Gian Chand, resident of Adaat, in Mahanpur. He was posted away and had come to his home on leave. The police said he allegedly beat up his wife two days back over some domestic issue. The wife left for her parents house.
Last night, the jawan went missing and his body was found hanging on a tree near his house this morning. The family members informed police. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem. The police registered a case and started investigation.
