Jalmeria highlights plights of Jammu-Poonch people

JAMMU, Apr 8: J&K National Panthers Party candidate  for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Advocate Hari Chand Jalmeria today  highlighted the issues of  his constituency  and  promised to voice for reorganization of J&K State in the Parliament if  he is elected.
Addressing media persons, he said that people of Jammu have not been given fair treatment during the past 65 years. “Much area of Jammu Pradesh has been allowed to be occupied by Pakistan. The people of those areas who became refugees during 1947, 65 and 71, are still struggling for their rights. Much of the land along International Border and LoC has been made unusable across the fencing. Farmers have not been compensated for this. The people living close to international border and LoC are usually disturbed and live miserable life,” he said.
The Panthers candidate also drew attention towards Government apathy towards tourism potential of Poonch-Rajouri and hydroelectric potential of the region.
